The Global Scholars Program (GSP) at African Leadership Academy is a three-week, intensive, summer program for a select group of secondary school students from across the world. For more information, please download our brochure.
The GSP is inspired by two critical questions:
• How can the next generation of global leaders ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for Africa and the world?
• What are the skills young leaders everywhere in the world must develop to create global change in the 21st century?
APPLY TODAY!
Please download the application, or contact the GSP via email at summer@africanleadershipacademy.org, call an ALA representative in the US at +1 (800) 986-9365, or in SA +27 (0) 11 699-3000. Application Deadline is May 31st!
Broaden Your Perspective on Africa
Discover the history, beauty, diversity, and energy that is Africa by spending three weeks on our campus in South Africa. Through your African Studies discussions, and your excursions to the Apartheid Museum, and your explorations of the Cradle of Human- kind and the Pilanesberg National Park, ALA will expose you to Africa in ways you have never imagined. You will build a power- ful network of friends and leaders from across Africa and beyond, and you will learn from outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs at the forefront of the critical issues facing the continent today.HTML Content tab 2

Engage in Service Learning Projects
The Global Scholars Program offers a unique opportunity for its participants to move beyond ‘volunteering’ and explore leadership in action.
You will contribute meaningful value to social ventures launched by young, socially-conscious leaders like yourself. At the Kliptown Youth Program, you will learn from social entrepreneur Thulani Madondo and tutor at-risk students in an after-school program. At Emthonjeni Day Care, an organization founded by African Leadership Academy alumnus Mbali Zondi, you will provide support in their daily activities aimed at providing a solid educational foundation to at-risk children.
